Chief Dixon Receives Award

Recently at a fire chiefs meeting, the Emerald Coast Professional Firefighters Councilpresented Destin Fire Department's Fire Chief, Tuffy Dixon, with an appreciation award for his efforts towards the tax reform issue. Chief Dixon along with other local fire chiefs worked hand in hand with Union leaders in an effort to limit the impact to the Florida fire service from the states proposed tax reform. Chief Dixon worked many long hours on this issue and his efforts did not go un-noticed by Union members. On behalf of the firefighters of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Congratulations to Chief Dixon and we thank him for all his hard work!
