A busy weekA busy beginning of the week for the A & B shifts. First on the "A" T-6/R-6
had a small kitchen fire. T-6 Pulled a handline, made a quick knock, R-6 secured utilities around the rear and outside
functions. Minor fire damage to the kitchen cabinets was done & nobody was occupying the home at the time.
On the "B" after enjoying some Mexican food at our local hang out Sabor
a Mexico, E-4, T-4 was alerted for a dwelling fire behind St-4 on Clipper Cove. Upon arrival moderate to heavy smoke
was issuing from the 2nd story window & eves. T-4 & E-4 made a push upstairs while T-6 vented the front windows &
assisted with primary search. Two extra engines were brought to the scene for assistance with mop up & manpower. Check

A message from the President, Shannon R. Stone Shannon's term as president
ends this June.
Thanks to all the members for the continued support I received
during my two terms as president of Local 2601. I feel we have made great progress during that time and it could not have
been accomplished without the support of each member and the E-Board. It has been an honor to serve the men and women
of IAFF Local 2601.
ELECTIONS for a new President will be held in JUNE 2008. Anyone interested should
contact an E-Board member ASAP.

"Sticker club"
Please remove all IAFF markings
from your vehicle when selling, trading-in, etc. The IAFF logo is universally known and respected and identifies both them
and their family members as part of an elite profession and connected to Organized Labor. IAFF decals and emblems should not be given or sold to any individuals or non-family members who are not IAFF members.
What you perceive to be a friendly gesture may be viewed by a police officer as illegal. Police in some states have interpreted
the displaying of an IAFF or fire department logo by individuals who are not firefighters or the immediate family member of
a firefighter as impersonating a firefighter, which is illegal in most states.
DO THE RIGHT THING. REMOVE IAFF DECALS WHEN DISPOSING
OF A MOTOR VEHICLE IN ANY WAY.
Have something to say? Suggestions? We want your input!
Let us know by filling out the box below & we'll get back to ya! IAFF 2601
